Best Luxury Option

For a luxury stay there’s only one area to go to in Singapore and that is the Marina Bay area. Here you’ll find many up-scale 5 star hotels and plenty of high-end shopping and restaurants.

Marina Bay Sands Hotel – $$$$

There’s no way around it, if you’re looking for the ultimate luxurious Singapore hotel experience in Marina Bay, you simply have to stay at the Marina Bay Sands hotel. It’s one of the world’s most famous hotel with an infinity pool connecting not two, but three buildings.

The rooms are modern, luxurious and if you’re on a higher floor the views are unmatched. Of course the location is a huge plus too, as you’re able to walk straight to the Marina Bay promenade. You’re also close to many high-end shops and the amazing Gardens by the Bay, so you’ll never run out of things to do.

Marina Bay Sands – Rates: Prices start at SG$ 680 (€480 / US$ 530) per night, for a premier room on a lower floor. Check prices here

Best Budget Option

Chinatown is perfect if you want to stay somewhere affordable without missing out on food and culture. The MRT and Bus access is excellent and you’ll be surrounded by delicious local food options and historic spots.

Hotel Mono Chinatown – $

Hotel Mono is a stylish, minimalist hotel that’s tucked away in a heritage building. It’s super close to the Chinatown MRT and some of the best hawker food in the city can be found near the hotel. The design is clean and modern, and while the rooms are small, they’re well-equipped and great value for money.

Hotel Mono Rates: Expect to pay around SG$ 120 (€ 82 / US$ 93) for a standard double room, excluding breakfast. Check the latest deals here

Best for Central Location and Public Transport

For those who are looking for an area that’s centrally located and well connected to the MRT, we recommend to stay in the Bugis area.

Lyf Bugis Singapore (Formerly G Hotel) – $$

We stayed at the Lyf Bugis Singapore and we really enjoyed it. The Lyf Bugis is a modern, co-living style hotel with a fun atmosphere. The rooms are very compact, but well designed, making it perfect for short stays.

What makes this place stand out is its convenient location to both the Bencoolen and  Bugis MRT stop, making it super easy to get around. Plus within 20 minute you can also walk to Haji Lane and Kampong Glam.

Lyf Bugis Singapore rates: Expect to pay around SG$ 150 (€ 103 / US$ 115) per night for a room with a King Bed, excluding breakfast.

Best for Shopping: Orchard Road

If you’re in Singapore to shop, Orchard Road is where you’ll want to be. It’s lined with malls, restaurants and all the stores you can think of. You’ll still be able to easily reach all of other Singapore’s attractions by either bus or MRT.

YOTEL Singapore – $$$

There are many hotels in and around Singapore’s Orchard Road, but we recommend the YOTEL. YOTEL Singapore has a modern and futuristic vibe, and is located right in the middle of all the action.

They also offer a nice pool to cool down from all the shopping and exploring, and they also offer other facilities such as a restaurant and a compact gym.

YOTEL Orchard Road rates: Expect to pay around SG$ 190 (€ 128 / US$ 145) per night for a room with a King Bed, excluding breakfast.
