Bangkok’s Best Airport Lounge? Coral Lounge Cocoon Review

Coral Lounge Cocoon Bangkok

We may have found Bangkok’s best airport lounge at Suvarnabhumi airport: the Coral Lounge Cocoon. In this review we’ll show you what this paid lounge offers, how to get access and the one stand-out feature that won us over.

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Lounges

There are many lounges at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport. Many of them are invitation only lounges, meaning you have to fly business class or first with a specific airline to enter them.

Luckily there are also  publicly accessible lounges and we decided to visit one of the many Coral Lounges. We’ve visited a few of their domestic lounges before and we really enjoyed them.

We set our sights on the Coral Lounge in Concourse C, but when we arrived there we found not one but two lounges with the same name. We went with the Coral Lounge Cocoon located on the left hand side while coming from the terminal and we later learned that this was indeed the better one.

Buy Lounge Access

The Coral Cocoon lounge is accessible with most lounge membership passes such as a Priority Pass. If you don’t have a lounge membership you can also purchase a 3-hour lounge pass.

A lounge ticket costs 1800 Baht on the official website, but it’s only 1000 Baht with our link.

Inside the Coral Coccoon Lounge

Upon entering it really feels like you’re stepping into a luxury lounge and we really like the effort they put in the decorations. There is also plenty of seating all around and we found the seats to be very comfy. Sadly there are no views of the planes, but you do have the option to look at all the passengers passing by in the terminal.

Coral Lounge Food

The lounge offers food in a buffet style set-up. There’s a nice selection of dishes ranging from classic Thai foods, to salads and deserts (including: ice-cream!).

At the buffet you’ll find soft drinks, tea and coffee. If you want something of the stronger kind you can get more drinks at the bar, where they also serve cocktails.

Highlights of the buffet include the Hainanese chicken rice and mini-apple crumble with vanilla sauce.

The buffet isn’t the most extensive we’ve ever seen, but the quality of the items is really good for an airport lounge including the specialty cocktails.

Coral Cocoon Lounge Facilities

Besides food there are more facilities within the lounge. There are toilets available and two private showers. The shower is complimentary, but only upon request and based on on availability.

Also available upon request are free-15 minute head and shoulder massages. Yes you read that right, if you put your name down on a list you can get a complimentary massage before your flight in the lounge.

All of this makes the lounge already stand-out from many  others we’ve visited, but the Coral Cocoon has one more showstopper available: A PRIVATE CINEMA!

Yes this lounge provides a private cinema for you to use during your visit! Access is of course based on availability and you have to put your name on the list. You can then use the room for free for one whole hour.

The room includes comfortable recliner chairs, a private fridge with some drinks and even snacks!

Of course it wouldn’t be a cinema without a giant big screen TV. What to watch? All your favorite @yesandexplore videos of course!

Being able to retreat from the busy airport in comfortable chairs watching whatever you want, was absolute heaven!
